Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice that is used to help you discover a deeper connection within yourself and attain your full potential. There are many ways you can practice yoga, and it can be done in a variety of ways. It can be used for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.
In the hippie-boomer era, yoga and meditation were synonymous with the practice of mind-body-spirit integration. During the 1990s, however, as the popularity of alternative medicine has grown, so too has the popularity of yoga retreats. In recent years, yoga has been finding mainstream success as a form of exercise, and more often than not, it has been a part of holistic wellness programs.
From postcard-perfect beaches to luxurious spa retreats, there are plenty of yoga retreats around the world, and each one is truly spectacular. Here are 8 yoga retreats from different parts of the world.
Thanks to a timely interception by free agent cornerback Malcolm Butler, the New England Patriots prevented Russell Wilson from leading the Seattle Seahawks to another Super Bowl title. Seattle’s surprising loss indeed marked a turning point for a franchise that had seemed capable of dominating the league for years.Although Pete Carroll’s team has made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, the Seahawks have never come close to winning the Lombardi Trophy. Fortunately for Wilson, an old friend with an impressive resume is able to meet with him to take care of some unfinished business.
Ironically, he plays the same position as the player who was on the first team. February 2015 destroyed the Seahawks’ dynasty dreams. And given the current state of their cornerback list, the defending NFC West champions should do everything they can to get Richard Sherman back.
Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman face uncertain NFL futures
Sherman and Wilson have had many ups and downs in their NFL careers. The former came into the league as a fifth man in 2011 and has become one of the strongest defenders of all time. Sherman’s time in Seattle ended painfully, however, when he suffered a torn Achilles tendon in 2017.
He had a successful first season with the San Francisco 49ers and had an All-Pro campaign in 2019. Unfortunately, Sherman was unable to stay on the field last season. The cornerback was limited to five games with a calf injury. The 49ers fired the five-time Pro Bowler in February, but the 33-year-old remains on the free agent market. Given his age and longevity, it’s not surprising that Sherman didn’t sign a new contract. At the moment his football future is hanging by a thread.
While Wilson seems ready to play at a high level again, the question of how long he will stay in Seattle seems unanswered. Ultimately, the future Hall of Fame player expressed serious doubts about his future with the Seahawks this season, listing four teams as acceptable destinations for a trade. Whether it’s due to his contract (Wilson will only make $70 million over the next three seasons), the team’s lack of playoff success, the actions of the front office, or a combination of all three, it’s clear he’s considering playing elsewhere. So although Wilson is still under contract through the 2023 season, it’s possible his career with the Seahawks will end before then.

Sherman can sign with any team, and his next destination may already be chosen. In fact, the veteran defender may be calling Wilson his teammate again in the near future.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler appeared on SportsCenter Sunday to talk about the state of Seattle’s defense.
I’m told there’s no doubt that Sherman is still open to returning to the Legion of Boom, or what’s left of it, Fowler said, according to Bleacher Report. He has a home on the west coast, he still has a home in Seattle, most people think he’d like to keep playing on the west coast, and Seattle needs help at cornerback. Nothing works right now, but maybe it will work right before training camp.
But before they can do anything with Sherman, the Seahawks must first solve a major problem.
Seattle needs to be clear about how to allocate [Jamal] Adams’ money before they commit resources elsewhere, Fowler said. Because a man like Sherman would settle for nothing less. He’s a top player who needs a decent contract.
A return to Seattle gives Sherman a chance to compete for the second Super Bowl ring he’s wanted for nearly a decade. Not only did he see Wilson throw an interception at the end of the 49ers’ Super Bowl, but he also saw the 49ers lose the lead in the fourth quarter to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54. More importantly, the Seahawks have a much stronger secondary team with Sherman for the 2021 season.
Does Seattle have a realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl in 2021?
Sherman’s days as an All-Pro are over, but he’s still a great value to the defense. He has excellent length (6-foot-9, 90 pounds) and knows how to use it to take out receivers. With the Seahawks yet to have a true No. 1 cornerback on the roster, they shouldn’t hesitate to contract someone who knows the system and what it takes to succeed in it. Plus, with a respected veteran like Sherman in charge, the rest of Seattle’s cornerbacks will have a fantastic resource to guide them in how to act like a pro.
But if there is a reunion, does that make the Seahawks the favorites for the Super Bowl?
Unfortunately for Sherman and Wilson: Even if the former Legion Boom star regains his old form, their path to the title together won’t be easy.
The Seahawks don’t have a particularly impressive passing game, and with the exception of Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams, there are no players on defense that could be considered elite. Meanwhile, the offensive line must prove it can better defend Wilson, and running backs Chris Carson and Rashad Penny must show they can stay healthy and out of the training room in 2021.
At the end of the day, the Seahawks still look like a team that is a step below the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers (with Aaron Rodgers). And the Los Angeles Rams and 49ers may have the better teams.
As good as the idea of a Wilson-Sherman reunion is for Seahawks fans, the chances of the tandem finishing their unfinished business are slim.
